I was studying somewhere abroad, or was it just a short course I was taking… anyhow, the accommodations were in the countryside. I was not alone, some of my friends were with me, but I can’t remember who. My room was not that nice, but my roommate was this royalty. She was British, and belonged to the high class. Yet, she lived very modestly. We bonded right away. The countryside was beautiful, there was a high roller-coaster-like thing right on the waterfalls. There was a pool below it. And there were seats. It looked kind of scary. But the youth was jumping from the top of the waterfall into the pool. All day they were having fun and were partying. I remember, there were gardens around the place. One night I was walking there with a friend, and suddenly I saw the stars move. Then I realized that those were a herd of fireflies flying in the sky, all at once they sat on the plants then they took flight again and they used to fly around. I had never seen fireflies before, so i told my friend that we should take a picture. And I don’t remember if we did.
There was this young guy that I met there. We were walking at the deck of the waterfall. The deck was dangerous. You had to step on the cracks between the boards so they wouldn’t slip away or sway from under your feet. Suddenly I stepped away from the crack and the guy standing next to me lost the balance and fell through the boards into the pool. I was sure he died. I started sobbing quietly. My roommate told me to go rescue him, so I went down to the pool and we sat there on the bench waiting to see if he came out of the pool. He did. He was soaking wet and had a wound on his chest. I got up quickly and had a look at the wound to see if it was not too bad. I asked him if he was ok. I was worried. Suddenly he hugged me and froze like that for some time. I felt relieved.
Next I remember that I was walking on a trail and thinking “It must be too late to apply for the scholarship… I should have done it earlier in the real world.”
