Richard was a fisherman with an amazing ability to fish the good out of any person. He could find the perfect bate to get that perfect smile and kind word. And then he would pull it out, and proudly show it off to everyone, like the good in the other person was his trophy.
Sometimes I wish I could be like Richard and also could catch the good in the other person. It’s just that I give up easily when the fish don’t bite. I desperately need patience and a stronger spirit. I also need to make myself work now but nothing seams to work. Life is this. Life is that. People change and people don’t.
Will somebody teach me how to catch fish?

Dry roses are the emblem of your mind
Cross the border of deep red pomegranates
In the center there is a blue sun, it’s blind
Shivering curtains embracing the light your soul creates
Physical love goes down your skin
The cut is short, but deep, it’s bleeding
Reading too much to understand what words mean
Zigzag circles are your joy’s meaning
Stopping shortly…”packages of air” coincidence?
The bride is crying because it’s empty
Regretting long forgotten condolence
The swiftness of the sound sounding swiftly
Before you burn this poem from your head
Read again to understand the freedom
Everything I say was certainly once said
All I need is you to understand… © Ani Nur Bogh
